I found another great amenity in my neighborhood – and best of all – it’s Halloween themed! If you dare, climb aboard the Pittsburgh Tour Company’s Double Decker Bus and listen to a variety of dark tales from a lively tour guide as you weave up and down the dark streets of the ‘Burg. Welcome to my blog - a place where I can tell you all about my adventures living in the South Side East/Hot Metal Bridge Neighborhood. As you probably already know, the South Side consists of multiple neighborhoods within the overall district. For many, the first thing that comes to mind is all the bars, college students hopping from bar to bar, and really not much else. But here on the Eastern edge, things are a bit different. Here you'll find more office and commercial properties, apartments, restaurants, and retail. It is also a convenient location because of its easy access to Downtown, Oakland, the Waterfront, and 376. Besides all of that, I have a great view from my apartment! As I discover new places, I'll post on here and share on social media accounts under @msjanes_nbhd.
